I am so sorry that they were not able to do the biopsy on your mum because the nodes were pushing on the blood vessels. I am not sure what the next step might be now - I would suggest you contact your mum's GP or medical team and ask them what will happen now if they could not do the biopsy? I am sure they will be able to give you further guidance on this as you should be given an indication as to what to expect after this. 

I am keeping everything crossed for your mum that it all turns out to be nothing too concerning and that she manages to get a proper diagnosis soon.
