Biopsy results back 2 weeks but keep being told it’s under review

Hi 

Iv had a mole biopsy with a private clinic but through the NHS on the 2 week wait scheme  

I rang to see if my results where back and they said they where but the consultant needs to review, make a plan and they would be in contact… Que anxiety .. why a plan ?! 

anyway I rang again a week later and they said oh yes let’s pull up your results for you and then to tell me again sorry these are under review and the consultant was in today but won't be back to next week. 

really stressing out now.. is this good surely if it was bad they would be more urgent? 

anyone experience this or similar? So hard not to worry!!

    I'm also awaiting results on a mole biopsy but mine arent due yet. We ge told it will be 4-6 weeks, but I believe results are back much sooner, however there is a process they need to undergo, such as review and discussion at the MDT meeting. So, even though they may be back, this process delays us knowing the result. The plan could be further treatment or it could be full discharge from the clinic.

    Thanks for your reply I wasn’t told how long the results would take but waited 6 weeks as standard before contacting , hopefully will hear soon .. All the best with your results!
