Hi, I'm new here. Sorry if this is long, I just desperately need some support and advice.
I have been sent to a&e twice since April with severe abdominal pain (and suffered through it twice at home alone) ... bit of back story... I have a very large incisional hernia (had it for nearly 6 years since last c-secrion). I have been in a&e regulalry over the years with abdominal pain since my last c-section. Every time I go in they check the hernia for strangulation and say it's fine and I can go home.
The pain since April is different to what I usually experience. Alongside this I am constantly bloated, extremely tired to the point I feel like the life has been drained out of me. My periods have also changed in the last 3 cycles. My last a&e visit the doctor ordered an ultrasound of my ovaries and internal scan of ovaries, however, the sonographer couldn't see my ovaries all she could pick up was free fluid and fat stranding around the bowel. They abandoned the ultrasound and sent me for a ct to check the hernia which they found was normal so sent me home. I asked about the scan of ovaries and he said I could arrange this through my GP. He said all of my bloodwork was fine too.
I am beside myself here, I am in pain daily, waiting for another one of these 'severe pain episodes' to happen to be told there is nothing wrong. I can feel there is something wrong. And if my bowel is fine what other reason would there be for fluid build up and fat stranding? Is it normal for a&e to dismiss these findings as nothing?
I'm so confused
Sorry I know thus was long but I don't know where to turn. I have contacted the GP who haven't got an appointment for weeks.
