I'm sorry to hear that you have some concerns about an area on your face that hasn't resolved. What did your GP say that they thought this was? Did they give you a reason why they felt it wasn't appropriate to refer you to see a specialist at this time?

If things haven't improved and you're still worried then I'd certainly suggest making an appointment to go back to your GP. Maybe there is another Dr or clinician in the practice that you can see for advice and support. Explain how worried you are and why you would like a referral. Hopefully, they can offer you some reassurance.

I don't know if you can self-refer to NHS services in your local area. Again this is something that your GP surgery will be able to advise on or give you information about how you can seek a private consultation if this is something you feel you want to pursue.

I do hope that things settle and improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
