Brain tumour?????

Hi

new here. Iv been getting headaches they were getting worse. Ended up being sent to an and e by my GP were I was referred by the SDEC for a MRI. I had that in about two weeks of going a and e. That was about 5 days now. Since then I ended up back to a and e as my right arm started to ache and I had pins and needles. They didn’t do any tests which I thought was strange. When I saw the dr he told me my arm was weaker than my left and thinks this has not just happened. the dr he had my MRI on his computer and said no one had read it and done a report yet. . He said it would take at least a hour to read my MRI as they had done a in-depth scan as well. When he was flicking through the images one of them had 7cm wrote on it which I thought was strange if no one had done a report yet. I’m starting to worry that I have a brain tumour. Iv been getting other things wrong with me that all feels random like my tongue keeps going numb, Iv been dizzy, the arm thing, when I’m lying on my pillow my back of my head is tender. Iv googled ( I know the worst thing you can do ) and these symptoms seem to line up with brain tumour.

how long do people normally wait for mri results and is no news good news???

  • Hi Susieq36 and welcome to the forum.

I'm really sorry to hear about the symptoms you've been contending with and the anxious wait you now have for your results.

How long you wait can differ depending on part of the country you are in and if that hospital department is still working through any backlogs. Hopefully someone will be looking over your results soon but if you're worried, you could see if your GP can chase this up for you, or you could try getting in touch with the hospital to find out how long the wait may be.

Our members know how tough it is waiting for results, so you are not alone, and hopefully you will receive some support and advice from them soon.

We're thinking of you Susie and will have our fingers crossed for good news.

    Kind regards,
