GP rang me to say I have shadows and nodules on my right lung - CT scan tomorrow

Hi 3 weeks ago I went to the GP with tiredness and the 3rd chest infection, since then I’ve had bloods all ok, I had an XRay last Tuesday, Wednesday morning GP rang me to say I have shadows and nodules on my right lung, Thursday the hospital rang to book me in for a CT scan tomorrow, I’m petrified I don’t know what to do my appointment with the hospital for results is this Thursday, I can’t make out if it’s a face to face or telephone call, 

  • Just wanted to say hello mybravedadx. I hope your scan went ok this week. You should get your results within 1 or 2 weeks but do contact the doctor who arranged the test if you haven’t heard anything after a couple of weeks.

    You might have contact details for a specialist nurse who you can contact for information if you need to or It may help to talk to a close friend or relative about how you feel. You may want them to go with you to get the results for support. If at any time you need information and support, you can call the Cancer Research UK information nurses on freephone 0808 800 4040. The lines are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
