I had a large lymph node on my neck ( just behind ear) removed 20 days ago. It had  been growing for 3 years, was  very hard and not painful. My doctor said it was a cyst ( 2 years ago) and I was put on a list to have it removed.  It was not a cyst and there were 2 smaller lumps discovered. - a hard pea one and another I was unaware of.

The lump was on the outside, visible and ugly. It did not look like typical pictures of swollen lymph nodes  eg it was not a swelling, rather a big ball. I'm 64 F have chronic sweating, dreadful itching, both of which I've told my doctor - she prescribed HRT which did not help. The surgeon said she'd write to me with results- it's almost 3 weeks.  Am i right to be concerned? Is no news good news?
