Skin cancer

Hello, I’ve noticed an unusual lumpy mark on scalp. I’ve looked up continuously on line, I was wondering if there was any other symptoms of skin cancer. Or what to look out for please

Unfortunately Googling won't tell you whether or not you need to be concerned. Lots of us have lumps and bumps that turn out to be nothing. Skin cancers can look very different and the symptoms can vary. Some of the symptoms are similar to other conditions.

Common symptoms of skin cancer include a sore or area of skin that:

    doesn't heal within 4 weeks
    looks unusual
hurts, is itchy, bleeds, crusts or scabs for more than 4 weeks

It’s not always possible to tell the difference between skin cancer and non cancerous skin conditions, so often it takes a biopsy to discover whether or not a lump is malignant. The earlier a skin cancer is diagnosed, the easier it is to treat. So it's important you visit your GP as soon as possible if you notice a change in your skin or are worried about anything unusual.

I hope you get it sorted soon
