Lump in throat where tonsils are but no tonsils

Hi

I am driving myself insane. I have a lump in my throat (I have no tonsil) on one side where tonsils should be I have whats been described as a flesh coloured inflamed nodule. Doesn't really hurt, I aware of it but not painful . GP said no idea, ENT said don't know and I was sent for mri. Now waiting results. Waiting is the worst

    It's never easy waiting for further information like this so I can understand this must be tough. It's good to hear you've had this checked out and that it should hopefully not be long until you hear more.

    Try to take things a day at a time in the meantime, and where possible keep busy and focus on other things to help keep your mind off any worries.

    Hi Ben. Thanks for replying. Yes it's awful waiting. I now also have awful taste in my mouth coming from the lump area, making me feel sick. The lump is so hard and uncomfortable.  I have follow up booked in and they are going to ring if any cancellations come up last minute .
