Update - still experiencing pain, but in the middle of important exams, not sure what to do

Hey guys, I'm sorry it's been so long since my last post. And again thank you for all the support and guidance. I genuinely had no clue people could be so kind :).

Okay so here's the update, I went to a walk in type doctors, said its possibly inflammation and to give it a week. (I know it's been longer then a week) so I have and it's not feeling much better, the pain is still here. I haven't thought about it in a couple days so its not too bad. I honestly can't tell if there is a lump or something but when I compare it to my other one it feels very different.

I'm not sure if it's worth trying taking it further with my doctor but he did say it would be strange to have inflammation in just one (that's what the doctor said is all)

Is it worth trying, I'm in the middle of important exams which I can't miss, I won't be able to book an appointment for a little while due to this.

Should u just wait or try and do it at some point?

Once again thank you so much for the support and advice, everyone has been so thankful

  • Hello Mc.crf,

Thank you for your update and I am pleased to hear that members of our community have been supportive to you. Since the doctor said to give it a week and you are not feeling better after waiting more than a week and the pain is still there, it would be worth going back to the doctor's just for peace of mind. It's important that you still go to your exams, but perhaps you could ring your doctor's surgery and see with them if they can find a suitable time and date which doesn't clash with the time of one of your exams? It might be worth  considering getting a second opinion on this and talking to a different doctor about what you've been experiencing.

I hope that you get more medical advice on this soon and that your pain disappears.

    Best wishes,
