possible complications with colonoscopy

Hi, I am due to have a colonoscopy next week as my bowel screening test came back showing hidden blood. Very worried about what they might find but also concerned that due to having had a pelvic repair and a hysterectomy that it could increase the risk of a bowel perforation.

I would be really grateful if anyone could help especially if you have been in the same position.

    Informing the colonoscopy team that you are due to have gynea surgery would be my advice..

    I have a colonoscopy on 4th June [ hysterectomy 43 years ago, so not an issue] I am given to understand that bowel perforation is rare...this will be my 4th without any issue. 

    I wish you luck...
