Moveable, painless lump in armpit

So around 2-3 months ago I found a hard lump in my armpit but it can only be felt when my arm is down, if i raise it it completely disappears. It’s probably around 1-1.5cm and it’s moveable. There is no pain. I obviously phone the doctors straight away and they booked me in. She felt it and said she definitely feels it, and she has sent me for a non-urgent referral to the breast clinic. I am only 19 and I am extremely worried. It is still here 3 months later. It hasn’t grown, but it seems to move less? Can anyone help me here on what to expect and if I should worry?

    Oh and let me add, I had blood tests and they were all completely normal other than a vitamin D deficiency. They checked my thyroid, CRP levels, liver and kidneys etc…

    Obviously everyone is different but I had exactly the same happen to me, and was sent for a mammogram and it was fine. I hope it's the same for you x

    This was about 5 years ago when I was 52. The similarity to you is that my lump disappeared when I raised my arm too. Doc sent me for a non urgent mammogram as I said, which was clear, but she thought it was an enlarged lymph node as I'd been a bit unwell with a virus. All I can say is that it resolved itself. The doctors have to check these things out, even if they don't think it's anything bad, so try not to worry too much. 

    May I just ask, re your low vitamin D level has the doctor advised you to take supplements? I've been taking vitamin D supplements since Covid began and I read that vitamin D boosts your immune system  and I haven't been ill with anything since. Just a thought, there's lots of info online.

    they told me to take the highest possible vitamin D, so i do. i am iron deficient and vitamin D deficient. im so glad to hear it was nothing with you. fingers cross it’s the same for me too!! i just have very bad health anxiety and it is making me panic !! i will update afterwards, thank you x
