Raised CA125, weeing frequently, bloating, exhaustion , abdominal pain

I’m 55, normally for and active (a sports instructor) and symptoms getting worse over about 2 months. Doctor examined me and I literally yelped when she pressed on my abdomen on the left side. Ordered tests and then contacted me to say CA125 slightly raised, referring me for ultrasound. Along with my symptoms, I’m now worried I have ovarian cancer. Could this be something else? I feel so tired much of the time. Appetite still good but I’m full after half of what I normally eat

  • Hi Debsup and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to read about the symptoms you've been contending with and for the worry this is understandably causing.

The good things is your doctor has referred for you for further tests, which I know must be scary from the outset, but will hopefully be able to provide some answers to the cause of your symptoms, and provide you with some much deserved peace of mind as well.

Hopefully you will receive some support and advice from the community soon but if you'd like to talk any of this through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

We're thinking of you Debsup and will have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • I'm 54 and pretty much identical symptoms and tests, Have you had your results yet? I was told I had an enlarged ovary so have the same fears as you.
