Suspected Lymphoma

HI,

I'm a 49 year old female and I have had a swollen lymph on the right side of my neck for months and lost a stone in weight since last Christmas.

I saw an ENT doctor yesterday and he found some more smaller enlarged ones near the main swollen one. My bloods come back fine but the doctor said the cancer they are looking for does not always show up in your blood.

I had the camera down my nose and that was clear but he then sent me for a chest x-ray which has now got me really worried.

Has anyone else had a similar experience I'm trying not to worry but it's very hard.

  • Hi, how big is the lump you have ? I have one on my right and 2 on the left, both about pea size . The dr says just feel fine and just to go back if still there in 6 weeks. I’ve had them about 10 after I had a bad cold x

  • Hi there

Mine is at least 3cms with some kidney sized ones around it and its only on one side plus with my weight loss thats why they are mainly concerned. My specialist says pea sized is quite normal and if you've had a cold it can take months for your lymphs to get back to normal buy I haven't had any illnesses or infections.

Try not to worry sure you will be fine. I've been here a few times as I have cysts in my breast where all I did was Google my symptons worse thing you can do so I havent done this time. If you're not happy then go back. Take care hope it all works out for you x
