Believe it or not, pain is a very good thing to have. Breast cancer tends to be painless. A lump with pain tends to be an infection of sorts.

My wife has had BC, and she found a lump around a year out from her treatment, which was painful. Normally they get you in pretty quickly, but because it was painful, they didn't get her in quickly as they would have with a painless lump. The surgeon wasn't worried about it. Her appointment came around to get it seen to and it was an oil cyst, with a bit of an infection.

BC is only really sore when it's pressing on a nerve, so the pain would present like nerve pain. There is a BC called inflammatory BC that can be sore, but it presents with its own type of symptoms.

Thank you, I’m still concerned (obviously) but it’s good to hear a positive reply & option … it’s just that there is so little out there about male lumps & bumps in relation to Breast cancers so easy to imagine the worst!!
