Enlarged lymph nodes all over my body

Good afternoon all,

I hope all of you are well

I'm just reachin out here to see if anyone else experience the same as me

Here is the story

I have enlarged lymph nodes all over my body for years which don't go away

2 weeks ago I went to private ultrasound as I became very worries about a certain lymoh node in my breast

The private consultant found 9 enlarged lymph nodes with hypoechotic cortex and echogenic hilum

Then my GP gave me urgent refferal for breast clinic and after they checked they couldn't find anything except one enlarged Lymph node in my right breast and told me thta there are no lymph node is the breasts (because one of the lymph nodes was found 5cm from the nipple)

But they found very enlarged lymph nodes in my groin area and after I told them they've been there for years and I just thought this is part of my body and it's normal

My blood test from a month ago showed low iron levels but nothing abnorma

Now Im on the waiting refferal for scan in my groin area to find out the cortex of the lymph nodes

Im scarred and I dont know who to trust

Please if someone experience the same get in touch with me

Im 29 years old if this matters

Thank you and have a lovely day

  • Hello Nemezida,

Thank you for sharing your story and I hope that you will hear from others who have had a similar experience to yours. You did well to have these lymph nodes checked and it's good that you were also seen at the breast clinic. It must be stressful for you that these new abnormal lymph nodes were found in your groin area and I hope that you won't have to wait too long for your scan and that it will shed some light on what is going on. Try not to worry too much though - lymph nodes can become enlarged for so many reasons, most of which are not cancer, and I hope that it all turns out to be nothing of concern. It's good that they are being thorough though and looking into it.

While you are waiting I thought I would share with you some helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.

    Best wishes,
