Hello, just wondering. I am booked in for a Colonoscopy in June and have been reading some info on here about what happens beforehand. So my question is, is my appointment going to be the actual Colonoscopy or a chat about my symptoms and then another appointment for the procedure? The letter I have seems to be more about having a chat with the doctor to see what he thinks, no mention of taking medicine to clear my bowels out beforehand etc...
I'm just confused as my GP referred me to get the Colonoscopy but the letter from the hospital seems to make out that its a chat to see if I need one. Is this the normal way it goes?
Recap. I have blood on the toilet paper issues, admittedly had it for many years. Saw doctor, had finger check, everything okay. Doctor reckoned haemorrhoids but referred me for a camera check to ''make sure'', said it was just procedure, and told me to have a poop test. Poop test all clear. So I was wondering, as I got an all clear poop test after being booked in for the camera test, is this maybe why the letter for my appointment seems to make out its more of a chat to ''discuss my symptoms''?
I know you're supposed to have the poop test before getting referred for a camera test but I wasn't able to due to my work pattern.
