Hello everyone. After spotting signs of possible perimenopause about a year ago my symptoms have become progressively worse over the last 6 months. Iv seen my GP many, many times. I’m 40 this year. I’m having severe headaches. They can last for days. They wake me up at night, I can even wake up with a headache. When I don’t have a headache I feel pressure in my head. I become nauseous almost every day, get dizzy spells, feel drowsy or tired. I get random pain in my back, get heartburn a lot and night sweats. At times I feel so unwell all of a sudden and the colour drains from my face. The GP has given me an appointment to have bloods next week. She also said she will refer me for an MRI scan. I have another GP app booked for 6 weeks time but the GP said it’s likely I’ll not get the MRI before then. Surly if it’s something serious it wouldn’t take so long, right? I know how busy the NHS is, what should I do? I feel terrible and selfish for wanting scans when I know there are tons of poorly people needing treatment. Should I just patiently wait for an appointment??
