High FIT test and bowel walk thickening- so scared

Hi 

I recently had a CT scan which showed I had mural wall thickening of my bowel. I also had a qFIT test result of 129. My calprotectin result was 93 so borderline and I’m therefore worried it could be colon cancer.

My GP has now referred me under the two week pathway for a colonoscopy. I am absolute petrified that it’s going to be the worse case scenario and I wondered if anyone has had the same as me and had a positive outcome?

Hope to hear from anyone with similar symptoms as me.

    I replied to you on your other thread and I hope that I will be joined by members of our community who have experienced similar symptoms and that they will share their story with you.

    I hope that you won't have to wait too long for your colonoscopy. It's normal to imagine the worst case scenario but try if you can to also think about the other things it could be which are not necessarily cancer and can cause a high FIT test result and borderline calprotectin. You will only know for sure what it might be once you receive the results of your colonoscopy and I am keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.
