Hi guys, just to update you I got my biopsy results today and unfortunately there is cancer present. It’s not lymphoma but they haven’t identified from the biopsy where it has originated from so I’ve now got more tests and waiting before starting any form of treatment or getting a prognosis. I had a Mammogram and blood test today, I’ve got an MRI on Sunday and waiting for a PET scan appointment. Hoping you guys end up being luckier than me! Xx

I am so sorry it wasn’t good news for you and I’m sorry you didn’t get anymore answers today.  
I can’t imagine how you are feeling right now, but you’ve got this. 
my next appointment is tomorrow but that’s only for biopsies xx

The hospital were amazing, had a camera down my nose and the ultrasound at the same app, I’ve got node swellings on both sides but they are reactive and no sign of being cancerous, if the swellings don’t go down in another couple months they want me to go back. They have said my body is trying to fight some kind of infection . How was yours ?

I’m still waiting for my results. One week to go! The PET scan was more painful than I expected as they couldn’t get a cannula in the veins in my left arm, left hand or right arm but the right hand was ok although I have a bruise covering the whole of the back of my hand. Now it’s just the waiting game. 

Really pleased to hear your nodes are reactive and not showing anything else!

Hi Ladies - I hope you are all doing okay (as well as you can be anyway).  So.... after being referred for several enlarged lymph nodes in my neck by the GP and then again by an ENT dr..... they are not actually lymph nodes !! I am still non the wiser now 

That’s frustrating Jessica, did they give you any indication as to what they were instead? Glad you had a positive outcome Kate and let us know when you get your results MAFSfan xxx

Thanks! I’ve been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma so not unexpected but still a shock. I’m starting chemo in the next few weeks. 

Oh I’m so sorry Hayley! From what I hear these days stage 4 isn’t the complete *** it used to be! Stay strong, positive and kick cancer’s butt! Whereabouts in the UK are you? Xx

Well today it’s ok to be down and tomorrow I thinks also ok, then time to kick into fighting off cancer mode. I don’t know you Hayley but to reach out on here, say the words stage 4… well that’s brave to another level, you will get through this when ever you need to vent just message us on here x

I completely agree with Kate! That fighting attitude can come to you in time but you need time to process what you’ve been told too. Definitely keep in contact and tell us anything that you’re thinking and don’t want to say to your nearest and dearest xxx
