Heavy bleeding

Looking for advice.

I have had rectal bleeding for years, since pregency really and ongoing piles.

Two years ago I had heavier bleeding and a lump in my rectum. I had a colonoscopy which was very uncomfortable but results were polyps (a lot 9+) and piles.

Polyps removed, nothing sinister and 12 months later rest were removed and piles banded via sigmoidoscopy.

In Jan had another flixi sig as review. One tiny polyp removed and some piles still there.

For the last 2-3 Weekd I have been bleeding quite heavily, bright red blood, some cramps pain, mild pain and some back pain. I am trying not to worry, fearing they have missed something sinister. I had a friend who died very young of bowel cancer that was missed and recognise my own anxiety.

I don't have weight loss but what could cause heavy rectal bleeding after normalish colonoscopy and two flexi sig?

Any help insight would really help.

Thank you

I'm sorry to hear about your ongoing struggles with rectal bleeding and piles. It sounds like you've been through quite a lot already with multiple procedures and consultations and i's understandable that you might be feeling worried, especially given your friend's experience with bowel cancer.

While I can't provide medical advice, I would strongly encourage you to reach out to your GP as soon as possible to discuss your symptoms and concerns. They are in the best position to evaluate your situation, perform any necessary tests or examinations, and provide guidance on next steps.

In the meantime, try to take care of yourself and manage any discomfort you're experiencing. And remember, seeking medical attention promptly is the best course of action when dealing with health concerns.
