CT scan results not back but nhs app saying I've been referred to the respiratory medicine awaiting treatment

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice. 

My GP referred me for a CT scan on the 2ww pathway which I had on Monday. 

I've been checking my nhs app all week and nothing has been on there but this evening it's showing I'm on a waiting list for respiratory medicine and awaiting treatment estimated to start in June. 

I rang the CT department but they said nothing is on their system yet and to ring back tomorrow. 

I'm terrified that something has been found on my scan hence the app showing this.

Does anyone know if you automatically get booked in just in case with it being on the 2ww pathway referral? (as in if all comes back clear it just gets cancelled) 

My mind is doing overtime and I'm so stressed I'm barely functioning. 

Has anybody had this happen?

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some health concerns which have needed further investigation. It's understandable that you may be feeling anxious and have concerns about the information that you've read on your NHS app. 

    Were you able to get hold of someone to give you some clarity? Hopefully you've had some answers by now but if not then maybe give your GP a call next week to see if they can shed some light on this appointment that has been requested. 

    I do hope that you get some answers and reassurance soon. Let us know how you get on.
