ive probably got BCC and have been referred to the BCC clinic. I’ve yet to hear this from the GP, I accessed the info from my NHS app. How long do people wait to have BCC removed? I think I have had mine for 18months already and I’m worried
It must be a bit of a stressful and confusing time for you as you found out you were referred to the BCC clinic via the NHS app - it will be good to actually talk to a doctor about it and I hope that they will be able to give you an indication as to what to expect.
I am not sure exactly how long you tend to wait to have a BCC removed - it may be worth asking your GP when you talk to them on the phone how long waiting times tend to be for this in your area. I hope that you manage to speak to a doctor soon and that you will hear from other members of our community who have dealt with a BCC before and who will be happy to share their experiences with you. I had a biopsy before my two bcc's were removed. Think they need to check which type of bcc and what surgery , like excision or mohs etc you might need.
Try not to worry. BCC's are mostly curable when caught early. It's rare that they spread either.
