Waiting for tests

Hi to everyone. This is my first post. I'm 56 not had a monthly since I was 51. I had my bowel and bladder rebuilt after giving birth 25 years ago this left me with double incontinence, I have had a erve stimulator for best part of 15 years. Over the past 12 months I have noticed bad cramps in my abdomen and back ache which has got worse too the point now I'm in agony paracetamol didn't help at ll. I have had a couple of UTI the latest being less than a month ago which was very painful in my kidneys along with this cramp and back ache my entire body feels unwell IV still not picked up from he UTI. I diabetes my sugars have not been lower than 25 for 4/5 months.  I feel like I'm going to come on all the time.... Yesterday I did..... Up until yesterday I just thought my pains where part f the change. I want sure if this is normal so checked on NHS basically I'm convinced IV got cancer is this a normal thing. I have seen the doctor today I have an appointment at the hospital in 12 d s time but I'm convinced I have cancer the waiting is long I can't think of anything else, little bit like when you know your pregnant you just got to get the test to show you, this is how I feel I' not afraid I'm alone my family live 200 miles away I just want to know honestly what people think  sorry for the long post

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Spangle.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been experiencing increased discomfort for such a long time and that are understandably worried about cancer.

While it's natural to have concerns, it's essential to wait for the results of your medical appointments before jumping to conclusions. Your doctors will be able to conduct necessary tests and evaluations to determine the cause of your symptoms and provide appropriate treatment options.

There are many people here who'll understand how you're feeling and I hope some of them will be here shortly to listen and offer support. Feel free to share your thoughts and concerns any time you need a chat.

    With best wishes,

    Renata, Cancer Chat Moderator
