This does sound like a long time to have been waiting. I'm not sure if you were given an estimate of how long to expect to wait. If it has gone beyond this, normally we would suggest to give the hospital a call to try to find out more. You can always try this again, and try to get an answer as to what is going on and how long to potentially expect to continue waiting.
