Scared

Hi all

Hope you are well i was just looking for some experience really. I have been today to the breast clinic had mammogram then two biopsies. Sonographer told me that she suspected it was sinister she was lovely by the way and said slim chance it would be something else.

I was then led to a quiet room and she went and got my husband, I then had to wait and she went to get the breast surgeon who examined me and told me it was about 3cm and looked like nothing in the lymph nodes.

He said biopsy results will take 7 to 14 days I asked what are the chances of it being benign and he said very slim. He started talking about possible treatment from the results.

I said to my husband what if it's wrong and is benign and he said he doesn't think it is unfortunately from the way he was speaking.

Anybody else had anything similar and realisticly I'm holding on to a dream aren't I thinking it's not the Big C

Sorry for ranting I'm in a bit of shock any help would or advice would be much appreciated

Thanks Jo x

  • Sorry you are going through this Jo, i am also waiting on my biopsy results and was told it looks suspicious. I was crying after the biopsy so i think he may have been more honest but could see I was distressed already. I get the results on Friday. What treatment did they suggest to you? Praying for a miracle like you and that are wrong x

  • Hi lovely

Sorry for you too my love

thanks so much for your reply, he said surgery and chemo /radiotherapy depending on results to know what they are dealing with.

I hope we get our miracle this waiting is just awful xx

  • Hi Jo,

I am sorry that you find yourself in this situation. This is always a worrying wait, especially when you've already been told that your lesion is suspicious. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer and was told the same at my initial appointments. I had a third scare, which my consultant thought was cancer too, but fortunately the biopsy proved otherwise - so miracles do sometimes happen! This was all 14 years ago and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.

It is good news that there doesn't appear to be anything in your lymph nodes. Hopefully, this means that, if it is cancer, you've caught it early.

Please keep in touch and let us know how your results turn out. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Thankyou so much for your reply I am so pleased to hear your doing well and that you got a miracle with the 3rd lump that's amazing

I will definitely keep in touch

    Thanks Again xx

  • Hi Jo,

Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
