Hi,
I have recently noticed that my long term vaginal bleeding has also been coming from the bottom. I thought I was having very long periods and irregular bleeding but I have realised that my bleeding comes from behind as well. I have been waiting to see a gynaecologist for a year and still no signs of having an appointment soon. I recently had a GP appointment and I was so frustrated that I broke into tears in front of him. So he kind of had pity on me and realised that on my clinical notes that a year waiting to see the specialist was way too long so he asked to expedite the referral. However this doctor is now gone from the practice. He requested a full blood test and I have been told that my results were mainly normal with just a few non-urgent abnormalities, so that is not going to help with my referral. I am seeing my GP again this Tuesday and I am going to tell them what I have found out about my bleeding but I am concerned. I feel quite frustrated because I don't see that this is moving in any direction and when I try looking online for a possible diagnosis, information is a bit confusing. In the past and currently, I suffer with bowel incontinence, where I have sometimes leaks of poo in my underwear. I was told a year ago by the pelvic floor physiotherapist that I have a rectal prolapse. I don't know if that is related to my bleeding from front and back. My bleeding is mainly bright red/pinkish. Sometimes with small clots that seem to come from front and back, if that is possible. I bleed every day, sometimes a liner is enough, others I need a pad, but everyday I need to wear some sort of protection to avoid staining. I go to empty my bowels quite regularly. I can go more than 3 times a day. Early in the morning as soon as I wake up, and it's quite soft, and then at least 2 other times during the day. I have been coming across some posts on this forum and I wanted to see if I could get any pointers or suggestions from others in this community. I feel very lost.
