I have been experiencing post menopausal bleeding. This has happened before. I'm on HRT. I had a transvaginal scan and was rung up the same afternoon by the consultant to say he was concerned with my scan as I had a thickened lining and fluid in the uterous which was suggestive of cancer. He said I needed an urgent hysteroscopy and biopsy. This is to be done by general anaesthetic.

Due to a mix up I didn't get a date and when I rang to check for x the second time last week they said they were sorry but there were no appointments until the second week in April.

I have already been waiting 3 weeks and the bleeding which had stopped has started up again and I have started having a pinching pain in my lower abdomen and  am waking up first thing with a feeling of pressure in my bladder and bowels which is extremely uncomfortable. 

I was doing ok, keeping quite calm but these recent symptoms have really increased my anxiety. It is still 5 weeks til the appointment. Just reaching out in the hope that someone can offer any advice. Thanks
