Hi, I had mine just over a week ago and I was really worried, but it actually wasn't so bad.  They gave me some oxygen for relaxing as my blood pressure was a bit high, but after I had the mouth spray, which was a bit yukky, I found it quite ok for the actual procedure.  for me they were checking out symptoms of reflux.  I have a hiatus hernia and they took a couple of biopsies just to check out any cell changes, although gastritis was the diagnosis,  I have a history of barretts oesophageus in the family, my mother, so I think they are playing it safe.
