Mass on gallbladder.

Hi, new on here , I recently went for a ultrasound and the results came back I have a mass on my gallbladder suspected cancer and now waiting to have a CAT scan.  Could this by any chance not be cancer? And to top it of my Husband has just been diagnosed with kidney cancer. If it turns out we both have cancer I don't know how we will cope if it knocks us off our feet, things like the every day running of the house. Has anyone got any advice please.

  • Welcome to our forum, Craftywitch.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent health concerns and your husband's diagnosis. It's completely understandable to feel overwhelmed by the possibility of both of you having cancer.

While I can't provide a diagnosis or certainty about your situation, it's important to remember that not all masses are cancerous, there could be other explanations for the mass on your gallbladder, and further tests like the CAT scan will provide more information.

In terms of coping with a potential cancer diagnosis for both you and your husband, it's essential to take things one step at a time. Lean on each other for support and consider reaching out to friends, family for additional assistance. Don't hesitate to ask for help with the everyday running of the house if needed – people are often willing to lend a hand in times of need.

The other thing I want to mention is that if you feel like asking someone with a medical background some questions, our team of nurses are available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040

With best wishes to you and your husband,
