Hi there, I too have a fast track appointment coming up this Friday. I have been through the process before. Generally, you'll be seen by a consultant when you first arrive who'll do a brief examination. You'll then wait for a mammogram and then after that they may also do an ultrasound. Depending on what they think it is (if anything) they might do a biopsy. In my case, I had a cyst and they did a fine needle aspiration there and then and I was discharged from the hospital straight after. I'm 51 and have another lump that needs investigating. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's as straightforward as last time. 

Hi , it’s standard to say Breast Surgery .

 was there last week. I’m waiting for my biopsy results this Friday . They’ll examine you and probably do a mammogram as you haven’t had one previously .  I was almost 52 when I had my first .

Try not to worry, It may be a cyst , I had one drained 18 months ago . Good luck !
