I have had four colonscopies and have requested sedation in them however i didnt get it. On one ocassion when i requested sedation i was told i didnt have it on my last which i contested wrongfully i did but he chercked note and said i never had sedation. The staff go through the script to make you feel sedation did take place when in fact it didnt. Don t drive , dont sign legal papers etc is all a sham. Again on my recent visit to the hospital i again requested sedation and was being put in the care of a novice girl in training. I was in total agony. Sweat was running down my face and was told to grasp the side railing. Another member of staff put a wet towel on my face as i was burning up with pain, Soon after i felt with pain was going to throw up and a paper bowl was placed at my mouth then the torture continued . A girl said will i stop . i sad yes and my ordeal was finished. Was then after dressing a  went back to the recovery room for the well rehearsed speech about dos and donts. Off course just a sham. Soon after a female cam and was given water. She was well drugged up and a nurse stating that she must have had a reaction to the sedation and think her comment was to appease me. I know i never got the sedation i asked for and am not prepared to go through that again for the nhs to save money and for me to shout stop down the line. It was a waste of time for the staff to turn up for there duty and me to drink a vile lemon drink. Not there fault . They just like the Royal Mail are doing what there told to do but just like the Royal Mail it can be exposed and had put patient through pain when there was was no need to..
