Two week cancer pathway possible kidney cancer

I have recently had a CT colonoscopy because of a positive fit test. That has come back as normal. Unfortunately they have detected a density one one kidney and a possible lesion on the other. I am also being sent for bone scans with dye. The CT scans will happen on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. I am very concerned. I am being referred to Urology too.

    I have two CT scans booked on Wednesday and Thursday one total body scan and a bone scan with dye. I am waiting to get an appointment with Urology. I feel scared but not overly so.

  • Welcome to the forum EJ7861 although I'm sorry to hear about what's been found on your kidneys and for the further tests you are now having to find out more.

    I know this must be a very scary and worrying time but the Cancer Chat community are here for you and hopefully it won't be long until you hear back from some of our members who have been on this journey.

    Thank you Steph for replying .I had the full body CT scan with dye. This made me feel very nauseous. We spent most of yesterday having the nuclear scan. This was to look at my bones. I felt exhausted after this, I have an appointment with Urology on Thursday and hopefully a diagnosis and plan.
