Assymetrical tonsils in a child

My daughter (4) had a decayed tooth I was checking the status of said tooth routinely and I noticed one of her tonsils was significantly larger than the other. We left it a while but it was still llike that 4 months later.

she has no pain, and hasn’t ever had tonsillitis.

her dad had lymphoma when he was 25 so we are a bit paranoid,

she’s getting a tonsillectomy this week and I’m really worried about the results. She also had a swollen gland in her neck (opposite side).

has anyone had this and came back something else? I don’t know what else it could be.
