It can come up high for many other reasons, how high was it ? 
if the doctors one comes up as abnormal high then they will probably send you for a colonoscopy to shed some light on it , what concerns made you buy two tests ? 
i am sure it will be nothing but at least you are self aware which is a good thing 

Thankyou for your response, yes I have been told a colonsscopy  is next step,the consultant  said  it wasn't very high but because  a history  of cancer in my family to have one

yes the earlier they catch it the better, unfortunately bowel cancer can creep up on you with no or very minor symptoms that could easily be passed off as something else but at least you have a colonoscopy, the bowel prep is the worst thing about a colonoscopy the colonoscopy itself is quite straightforward 

Hi Olive I’ve just read your post. I hope you’re ok and not feeling so worried now. Have you had a colonoscopy yet? I know how you feel - I’m a very anxious person too and I’ve had a high FIT result - I can think of nothing else at the moment so I totally understand how you feel. It’s nice to talk to someone who is going through the same worry. Hope you’ve had some answers and feeling more reassured now x

Hi rosielee, they didn't do the colonoscopy as my bowel shape couldn't take the procedure,so I had a CT imagery colonoscopy, had that done on the 27th march, they said 2 weeks for results, which I find nerve Racking, I don't understand the FIT.results what's classed as high ? Do you know so in limbo at the moment what about you ,hope your ok it's all the waiting doesn't help .

Hi Olive well at least you’ve had the ct colonoscopy done - you’ve got that bit out of the way - so you should hear next week then hopefully. I’m sure it will be fine and you will face been worrying for nothing. My last FIT test was 200 so that’s high. I feel worried too - can’t think of anything else and it’s really starting to affect my mental health. I’m waiting for a date for  my colonoscopy - I’m hoping I’ll hear next week. It’s the waiting that’s awful. Did you have to fo do a bowel prep for the CT scan?

I could only eat certain foods from 2 days before  scan, then had to have a sachet of something mixed with water in the morning  day before and another in afternoon and keep near a bathroom,then I had to take 2 smal bottles of medicine 4 hours before my scan so because my appointment  was 9.15am I had to drink the meds at 5.15am just as well I can't sleep and it was discusting  taste,  but I was at the hospital  for 1 hour 30mins  so not to bad  you lay on bed and it takes you in and out of what I call a donut looking machine you are told when to breathe  in and out  so now a waiting game  I hope you get your appointment  soon fingers crossed for us all
