Convinced I had ovarian cancer

Hi,

I am absolutely freaking out I have ovarian cancer. I have been suffering over the last few days with  nausea, bloating and no appetite. I do suffer with acid reflux and started my meds on Saturday for this. I’d say the nausea has sort of subsided slightly. But now I have come on my period 5 days early and it’s quite heavy! I have had the worst few months of my life, I lost my baby boy October he was only 18 days old, I have two other children. I can’t face this being bad news I’m so stressed! I have been referred by dr for scan but my health anxiety is so bad I have booked a private scan tomorrow.
I have also got slight hip pain (which has only started today which could be period related) and chest tightness.

I guess I’m looking for some reassurance or some positive stories?

I can’t sleep, I can’t eat I’m just sick with worry.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Lelo23.

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you've been facing, especially after the loss of your baby boy. It's completely understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious about your symptoms.

It's positive that you've been referred for a scan, and it's understandable that you want answers quickly, which is why you've booked a private scan.

Many people here experience health anxiety, especially when facing symptoms that are concerning, hopefully some of them will come along shortly to talk with you as chatting to those who can understand does seem to help.

It's natural to feel scared and stressed, but try to take things one step at a time and focus on self-care. Lean on your loved ones for support, and consider seeking help from a counsellor or therapist who can provide guidance on managing anxiety and coping with stress.

I'm sending you positive thoughts and hoping for the best possible outcome for you.

    Best wishes,
