Edit: doctor said calcifications are UNUSUAL at my age*

I was diagnosed with DCIS (calcifications) back in 2018. I didn't see this as cancer as not all cases of DCIS will become invasive cancer. But as mine were 'high grade' it required surgery. If yours turns out to be DCIS it will be graded, low, medium, high. Your consultant will decide whether surgery is necessary or whether they will just monitor you instead. I  know it's difficult to try and remain calm but it could turn out to be benign or low grade. Even if it's high grade the consultant could put treatment on hold until the baby is born. Thank u for your reply and helpful information, I’m just concerned because there is a lump as well that it won’t be DCIS and could be something more invasive. I google too much and always think worst case! 

Try and avoid Dr Google it's your worst enemy. The truth is no one knows what the lump/calcifications are until the pathology comes back. It may be nothing other than a cyst/fibroid and calcifications normal. I know how hard it is waiting for results and the mind tends to run wild but I tried to keep myself busy and tell myself it's not cancer until I'm told it's cancer, that allowed me some breathing space until the results came in.

I'm still here 6 years later and plan to be around for considerable more.

Thank you, no one wants it but treatments have meant more people surviving cancer. It's doable.
