Should I be worried? Terrible aches after calcium infusion

After having breast cancer treated with chemo and radiotherapy 3 years ago. I now have calcium infusion every 6 months but this last one I really feel rubbish. Aches that don't wear off during day. Not sleeping at night. I'm scared it's something going on. Any one else have these symptoms?

  • Hello Popsey,

I am so sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell after this last calcium infusion. These aches that don't wear off during the day and not being able to sleep sound rather debilitating. I hope that you will hear from other members who have experienced these symptoms before following calcium infusions. I would definitely flag this with your GP as this has affected you so badly. Give your doctor a call as soon as you can just to make sure this is to be expected and they may also be able to suggest something to alleviate these aches.

Our nurses are available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if there is anything you would like to talk through with them. Their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope you feel better soon and that you manage to get some sleep.

    Best wishes,
