Red lump, doc referred to clinic

Hi,

Hoping some people can give me some experiences good or bad. I saw/felt a lump on bottom part of left breast about a week ago. Skin over/around very red/bruised looking. Went to the doctors this morning who have referred. Said it's just over 1cm, not mobile. It doesn't hurt at all. I have a 16 month old that I stopped breast feeding 3 weeks ago but the doctor didn't think was related to that. I have family history of breast cancer (great nan, nan diagnosed around the same age as me (36) and my aunt in her 50's. I think this makes me worry alot more. The referral is showing up and I should here from the clinic in next 2 days it says.

Anyone had similar and it been nothing? Or similar and it has been something?

Thank you
