I’m looking for a bit of help and advice.
I have had a swollen lymph node on the back of my neck for 3 months. It was ultrasounded a month ago. The person scanning it didn’t really say anything I asked is it enlarged and he said it just looks normal and sometimes you get them with an infection. I’ve not had any infections nor been ill since I noticed the node. I’ve since had an MRI on my neck for throat pain on the same side (they are almost certain it’s acid related as I have had cameras down 3 times and they’ve not found anything abnormal.)
I haven’t mentioned the lymph node to the ENT department just to my GP who said to ask them when they review the MRI to keep this in mind.
I suppose while I am waiting, should I take comfort in the fact the ultrasound came back fine? Should I pushing for further tests? Everywhere I google it says infection or cancer. I don’t really know anyone who has a permanent enlarged lymph node.
it is firm, moveable but I would say approx 2cm.
I can hardly eat or sleep for the fear of Lymphoma.
