Hi,

I have family history of breast cancer (mother and sister) and am 44 so feeling at risk. I’ve been waiting for 8 months since I raised my concerns with my GP and still don’t have my results from the NHS genetics referral. I’ve been told today it will be another 4-6 weeks before I get a letter. I’m thinking of paying privately for a mammogram just for peace of mind. Are there any private medical companies that are recommended for this? Anything to look out for or avoid?
