Ultrasound findings

Hi my name is Laura. I am new here. Was just wondering if anyone could help me out with my ultrasound results.
Had an abdominal ultrasound and found that I have an avascular hyperechoic lesion in my liver in the right lobe adjacent to the gallbladder fossa. Measuring 16mm x10 x 16mm

I had my gallbladder removed 8 years ago due to gallstones and a lot of pain.
have no other symptoms at all. They said to rescan in March to see if any change and to rule out other pathologies

does anyone have any idea what this could be?
thanks for your help.

  • Hello Laura

I'm sorry to hear that a recent ultrasound scan has left you feeling concerned and that you're now waiting for further tests. Understandably, you may be feeling anxious.

I'm afraid that no one here will be able to tell you what the area on your liver could be. I'd suggest giving your GP surgery a call to make an appointment to talk things through with them. Hopefully, they will be able to give you some reassurance to help whilst you're waiting.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
