Biopsy

Hi

looking for some advice, reassurance or just some help. 

so I've had a lump found on the left side of my neck, approx 2cms, ultra sound scan shows as a lump, ct scan and biopsy performanced . They also took a biopsy off the bottom of my tongue - this has came back as an infection and not cancer which is great news!! - however the biopsy in my neck has been sent for a second opinion as the results were inconclusive and the Ct scan isn't back, I am now concerned they are fobbing me off and not taking the neck serious and they are not going to give me the results timely I am passed myself with worry. 

symptoms  - lump in neck, hoarse voice, sore ear on occasion, sore throat when swallowing and then the feeling of something being stuck in my throat. Any advice

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with some ongoing health concerns recently. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious whilst waiting for your CT scan results. 

    It sounds as if the hospital is trying to get to the bottom of what is going on for you. We also know that waiting for results can be a difficult time for many people. Did the hospital give you any indication about when you might hear some news? If it's been a few weeks since your scan then there's no issue with giving them a call to ask for an update. 

    In the meantime, I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk things through with one of our nurses? I'm sure they would be happy to offer any advice, information and support they can. If you'd like to chat with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040,
