I think they see certain characteristics and now if it’s cancer so they try to prepare you for the news , that’s exactly what happened to me a part of me prayed it was nonsense and surely they couldn’t tell me this without biopsy results I had my diagnosis in June 22 all over now like a bad dream , hand in heart it wasn’t that bad I sailed through it you are gunna be just fine I promise you

Honestly it’s a hell of a shock but it’s so treatable and do able the word is the scary thing after a few days you start to accept it I put my big girl knickers on and thought hey I’m coming for ya and soon it was all over just like that life quickly returned to normal you can do it you really can my love xxx 

One tip try not to google as lots of info is out of date and scary , if you got questions ask hete there’s a nurses section or ask us ladies or your breast nurse lovely Google’s one scary thing xxx 

Yeah it is scary I think because 2 doctors said it was a cyst the thought of it being cancer never entered my head and then when the doctor said it, I was so scared, and yeah I do need to stay off Google it is so hard not to go on there tho. But i am glad I have found this page I will be putting question in here now and not Google. Yeah I just need to do like you said put my big girl pants on and do what ever I can to get rid of it.

A very warm welcomer to our forum.

I am so sorry to hear of your concerns. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer, a year apart from one another. Like you and Laraj, I was told at my first appointment that likely had cancer, but that the biopsy results would confirm this. Unfortunately, they were right, but it was stage 1 and hadn't spread. I had a lumpectomy first time around and a double mastectomy for the second bout. As Laraj said, it was all perfectly "doable" and I'm still leading a busy and fulfilling life some 14 years later.

I know that the temptation to consult "Dr Google" is great, but it won't apply to you or give you any answers. The only thing that it will do is to scare you even further. Have they said how long you may have to wait for your results? I hope that it's not too long.

Hi jolamine, so sorry to hear you have had it twice. So happy to hear your still living life to the full thats amazing. I know I havent been on Google in a couple of days trying to stop myself, I have an appointment to go back next week it doesn't say what tge appointment is for but my test were last week so I'm guessing that will be to get the results.

Hello I went for a camera biopsy in my stomach on Tuesday he saw 3 growths two which he said was cancer asked my husband to come to a hospital bay where others were not allowed but he told me to get my husband in so he could talk to us he sent 5 biopsy’s of to be tested and said I needed a ct scan to see if it’s spred any where else how can he say this with out the results back from the biopsy 

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear this, I'm just guessing they see cancer all the time so they know what they are looking for, I'm also confused that I was told before the biospy result had me questioning myself if I had heard him properly, I don't get my result until next week. But I'm judging by the people that have wrote back to.me on here the result are going to show the same as he told me. Like I said a small part of me is still hoping he has got it wrong. 

I wish you all the best and really hoping if you gave a ct scan that it hasn't spread anywhere else.
