Neck glands -lymphoma?

I’m maybe getting ahead of myself but here goes.

Last summer I had what I can only describe a a weird “popping” feeling in the r side of neck towards the front when looking down to the side.   Months later had tenderness, GP arranged blood tests and ultrasound in Oct which came back clear.  GP said try physio, no change, anti inflammatory gel, no improvement.

About five weeks ago had covid for first time and had chest infection and had antibiotics which cleared it.   Lost taste and smell.
I’ve had silent reflux before but developed heart burn and have been given pills for that, no help.  My neck tenderness still the same but feel almost as though I have a lump in my throat on the same side when swallowing.     My tongue feels really dry,  it was prior to C-19, also looks a bit scalloped shape on the tip since.  I know some of this might be due to covid but I’m worried.  Had another set of bloods early December but haven’t heard back so I’m assuming all clear.  Another ultrasound appointment is due in two weeks.   Does any of this make sense or resonate.
My o/h thinks I’m over anxious and I’m always worried about something which is why I’ve come here.

thank you.

  • Hello K_B and welcome to the forum.

I'm very sorry to hear about your symptoms and for the stress and worry this is causing.

It's good to hear more tests are being carried out and hopefully your upcoming ultrasound will be able to provide you with some much needed answers and peace of mind.

Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will be along soon to offer their thoughts and advice but if you'd like to talk any of this through with one of our nurses, you can do so on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all that they can to help.

We're thinking of you K_B and will have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,
