Vaginal lump

I’ve found a hard lump on the wall of my vagina, it sits just behind my cervix. GP/ gyna has no idea what it is… being sent for an MRI. Has anyone had anything similar… I’m braced for the worst as I was diagnosed with skin cancer earlier this year ..

  • Hello Longbird8

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found a lump and that following appointments with your GP and the gynae specialist, you're still left with unanswered questions.

It's not uncommon that further tests are required to make a diagnosis and this is why you've been referred for an MRI. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long and the results will allow the specialist to give you a clear diagnosis.

We know that for many people this period of waiting for tests and results can be difficult and, understandably, you may be feeling anxious. It can often help to talk things through with someone. I wonder if you might find it beneficial to chat through your concerns with one of our team of nurses. I'm sure they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information, and support they can. If you'd like to talk with them, they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope you have some answers and reassurance soon. Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
