Hello,
I saw a gynaecologist 3 and a half weeks ago for excessive bleeding and anaemia. I was expecting to perhaps be offered some kind of ablation as I am 48 and very peri-menopausal so have been putting my symptoms down to that. I was taken by surprise when the internal ultrasound showed I had endometrial thickening and a biospy was done then and there. She also referred me for a CT scan which I had done the following week.
I was expecting to have heard something by now so phoned the secretary on Monday who said that my results were in and she would let the consultant know i had called. I haven't heard anything at all so am telling myself it must be fine during the day, and worrying like mad in the dark hours.
I live in Scotland and know our waiting times are a bit longer but has anyone got any experience of the process and what results taking a long time means ?
Thanks so much
