Breast Biopsy - getting results tomorrow. So worried it's bad news

Hi,

I’ve had a biopsy due to a lump found in breast picked up on 3 year mammogram. I’m so anxious, not sleeping, petrified. Keep thinking the absolute worst. My appt for results is tomorrow afternoon, I’m not sure I will be able to stand it. Anyone found any ways to calm anxiety, get through such an appt. I have history in my family of cancer, so I’m convinced it’s bad news and finding myself not coping.

  • Thank you so much Lara. xxx you are a really kind  person xx I will let you know

  • Hello Farquoir, sorry to hear you are so worried .Like Lara said ,whatever happens, you will cope .

I also found a hardening in my left breast and an inverted nipple . After mammograms they found cancers in both my breasts.I had mastectomies in the September and started Chemotherapy in December last year ,finishing it in March .I felt pretty good throughout, the staff were all amazing too. Have just had my first op of reconstructive surgery and feeling well .
Good luck ,positive vibes and keep in touch xxx

  • Thankyou so much for your reply. You sound so strong and I’m glad you are coming out the other end xx thankyou for your kind words, it means so much xxxx

  • Hi Farquoir,

Waiting for results is one of the hardest parts of our cancer journey. Irrespective of the outcome, you will feel better once you know what you are dealing with. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer and am still here 14 years on. I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.

As others have said, treatment is perfectly “ doable” and not as bad as we initially expected. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow and I sincerely hope that nothing untoward is found.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
