Cervical biopsy results.

Hello.

I'm wondering if anyone can help or have been in a similar position

I recently had a cervical biopsy taken and I got some results back stating this

microglandular hyperplasia- further review needed of rest and slides.

I have no idea what this means. Does anyone else know? Or had the same results?

I asked if it could be cancerous and they just said further review is needed.

Thanks everyone

  • Hi swordfish,

Unfortunately no one on the forum will have the expertise to tell you what these results mean and I hope that you will get your review soon and that they will tell you more about it. Other members of our community may have had similar results though and may remember seeing 'microglandular hyperplasia' in their result reports and I hope that they will be along shortly to share with you what it meant for them.

Hopefully you get more information soon as to when this review might take place. I am keeping everything crossed for you that it turns out to be nothing of concern. Try not to worry too much if you can as there are so many cervical cell changes which are not cancer and can be easily treated. I hope you find out more soon!

    Best wishes,
