I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling unwell recently and that the tests your GP arranged have resulted in the need for further investigations. It's understandable that you're feeling concerned and worried about what may happen at your appointments later this week. 

I know that many of our members here will understand how difficult this period of uncertainty can be. It's natural that we may think about worst-case scenarios as the unknown can be a scary prospect to face. Most members will agree that once you have answers things become a little easier to understand and move forwards with. 

Often it can help to talk with someone about how you're feeling and I wonder if you might find it useful to chat with one of our team of nurses ahead of your appointments later this week, I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. 

Hopefully the ultrasound on Thursday, along with all the other tests you've already had will enable the specialist to give you some answers and reassurance when you see them on Friday.
